About Us
We are a charity foundation based in Uganda with the of transforming peoples’ quality of life & improve their livelihoods through community development projects within the under-served and remote areas.
Abassiyu Islamic Charity Foundation carries out its activities in the fields of supporting & empowering marginalized groups such as Orphans, youth, Widows and elderly through community development, promoting Islamic sensitization, health, education, water and sanitation in a bid to meet the constant growing demands of vulnerable in Uganda and elsewhere in East Africa with maximum flexibility, and with expert knowledge of community outreach, economic and environmental issues of vital importance in the region.

We targeted the following categories of the vulnerable people in Eastern Uganda
Orphans
Education For African Children
We give various support to orphans in terms of school fees, scholastic materials, career guidance, feeding, accommodation provision, economic support to their guardians whenever the foundation can and constant medical checkups to keep them healthy.
Widows
Ensure Good Welfare of Widows
We support the widows financially by providing them with economic support, hands on skills training and formation SACCOs for them.
Community
Creating Social Change in Communities
We do construct boreholes, mosques for communities to have better places of worship and clean water at all the times since the area we are dealing in has the water issues since then.
Our Programs
Orphan care
We offer Iftar during Ramadhan for the Fasting Muslims, Collect and distribute Zakatul Fitr and organize Iddi celebrations for the orphans. We also do Kurban activities during Dhulhajji for the communities that are needy. All these are done with great passion.
Borehole Construction
We do ensure that the community has clean water by constructing boreholes for them, spring wells and water reservoirs for keeping water..
Agriculture
We also train the farmers into better farm practices from time to time. We also provide for them seedlings and do look for the market for the products.
